A trusted voice for Saanich South
Like lots of folks in Saanich South, Lana Popham isn’t afraid to get her hands a little dirty. Before entering politics, she worked as a farmer for many years, helping establish and run the first certified organic vineyard on Vancouver Island, Barking Dog Vineyard.
Since 2009 Lana has represented Saanich South in the BC Legislature, serving as the NDP Opposition Spokesperson for Small Business and Agriculture & Food, and the Critic for Tourism and Arts & Culture.
As an MLA, Lana has dedicated herself to improving the quality of life for the people of Saanich South. She helped re-open Saanich Observatory to the public, and pushed through necessary traffic improvements at the Pat Bay and Sayward Intersections.
Lana is standing with John Horgan and the BC NDP because after 15 years of Christy Clark and her friends, it’s time you had a government that works for you. One that will take real action on affordable housing, invest in public transportation and create good paying jobs.
Lana understands that an MLA’s job is to make your life better. You can count on her and John Horgan to be on your side.
